Serving our community with dedication and professionalism.
Every October is Fire Prevention Month to raise awareness about fire safety and promote life-saving practices. One week in October is dedicated as Fire Prevention Week (October 6th-12th). PRFD will be visiting Mission Valley Christian Academy on October 8th and Valley View School on October 10th to speak and interact with students. This years theme is "Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!"

Come October 1st, debris burning will be allowed on the Flathead Reservation.
Make sure you have working smoke detectors on every level of your home. Test them monthly and replace the batteries twice a year.
Create a fire escape plan with your family and practice it regularly. Identify two ways out of every room and establish a meeting place outside.
Never leave cooking food unattended and keep flammable items away from the stove. In case of a grease fire, smother the flames with a lid and turn off the heat.
